Cinnamon Stewed Apples

This recipe will forever give me nostalgia and remind me of my non’s cooking. It is so simple and versatile, I usually cook a big batch and meal prep it for the week.

My favourite ways to use them:

  1. As a topping for porridge

  2. In muffins

  3. Bake in puff pastry and make apple triangles

Ingredients:

8 green apples

1 heaped tsp ground cinnamon

1 tbsp maple syrup

Enough boiled water to cover half of your apples

Method:

Peel your apples and chop into 8ths

Boil water in a kettle

Add all ingredients to a medium pot
Let simmer for about 7 minutes or until soft
